7-County Ohio Map with Range, Township & Section

The map below shows a poster that hangs on my office wall most of the time. It is 24" x 36". Holmes County is in the middle, and is shown surrounded by Richland, Ashland, Wayne, Tuscarawas, Coshocton, and Knox Counties. Ok, I know it isn't pretty, but don't judge that book by its cover! 

The majority of the grids depicted on the map use the State Lands system of measurement. To learn more about that, click here. 

Washington Township of Holmes County is an area I research in frequently. It is in the upper northeast corner of Holmes. Look closely, and you will see that it touches three other counties, of which a couple changed jurisdictional boundaries in the early 19th century. Thus, knowing that Mohican Township was originally in Wayne County, then Richland County, and eventually Ashland County is relevant because it is only about 15 miles away from Washington Township in Holmes and some of my ancestors moved between the two townships.
